Wendy’s Shake It Weight Management Challenge

Week 6.
Commencing Wednesday 11th August 2010

Current weight: 62kg (lost total 4kg)
Waist: 73cm (lost total 3cm)
Love handles: 96cm (lost total 6cm)

Today was supposed to have been our last meeting as the 3 of us but we thought we would meet up now every 2 weeks just to touch base briefly.
Kelly lost the most weight in total – 9.5kgs, she is over the moon as she has learned techniques she feels will hold her in good stead for the future. She is going to continue for another month before she goes onto maintenance program which is the wellness approach.
Jan and I will maintain our losses also and I’ll report over time what happens to us.
We are all happy to continue along with a protein shake for breakfast as it is fast, filling and kick starts our metabolism at the beginning of the day + firing up brain focus.

The best new thing we have been trialling for the last few weeks is this fabulous ‘Bullet Blender’, you’ve probably seen them advertised on TV. It takes up no space in a cupboard, is about the size of a cocktail shaker with a little electric motor as its base. This blender whizzes up these shakes to the consistency of a thick shake + you can add fruit to it to change the flavour of your shake creating a smoothie.

“This blender is brilliant, the best gadget I’ve bought in years and I use it every morning to make my chocolate shake, then drink it in the car as I’m driving to work!” said one patient. Now I know this girl and she is a ‘no breakfast eater’, has been for years - this is a real turn around for this working Mum, so you know it’s easy to use.
I managed to get my hands on a supply of these blenders that normally retail for $80.00+ and can sell them for $30.00 each if you are interested.
 

Needless to say, another week of social activities that involved wining & dining for me and I failed to lose the last kilo. Portion control went out the window totally so there has been no weight shift for me this week however, the tape measurement is decreasing and quite a few pairs of trousers are quite loose on me now. Overall, I’m delighted with the progress of the other ladies and hopefully by next week that last kilo will be gone.
